Bit of a puzzle here for you. Was in New Y today it doesn't matter if you don't know where that is.

I was testing the theory about the tins of biscuits, I think Jumblejack posted it last night. All three scanned as shelf price of £5 BUT the blue tin I think its McVities Victoria Luxury Collection Biscuits 725g were £5 but by the entrance they had the same tins 725g and a label which said 800g £6.

I couldn't see any 800g, I guess that doesn't qualify for DTD but I do wonder if the staff can read at Tesco sometimes

I've still got the tin from the ones I bought last year - they were 800g!!!

    Another example of downsizing :o

Yes, I think the 800g ones were scanning at 12.00GBP some time ago and were good for dtd... the 725g ones scan at 6.00 :(

We've only had one tin size - there is a smaller 400g pack but it's in a cardboard box.

I think the 725g ones were selling at full price at first (I think there is some law to do with sales where a product has to be sold at the original price for a minimum time.)

Have you seen any larger tins this year? I thought it was a typical Tesco typo!

Just got 4 pks of the pork mince. Just got to find something to cook with it now. Any ideas?

I got some of the pork mince on the DTD deal not so long ago, one lot still in my freezer but I did a 'standard' chilli with my other lot - just used pork instead of beef. tbh OH didn't notice the diff, I could a little but still tasty. Think meat balls are in order for my other lot and perhaps a burger or two.

Better get cracking with my chair building *groans*

Why did I have to buy 8 dining chairs?

Why did I have to get the budget ones that don't have matching screw holes?!

See you when I check in after my next chair is constructed!!!

You have my sympathies, I put our 4 together when we moved house a week before xmas, in the snow. We had nothing else to sit on and by the end of allen keying 4 chairs together I could have honestly cried.
this in itself summarises why i dont feel guilty about Tesco glitches!!....buying 192 choc oranges cant be any worse than this!

I bet you had no say in what charity it went to? neither will you get proof of the donation

I'd be tempted to go to a Police Station with a large cash find....assuming the 'finders keepers' rule hasnt changed yet

The cynical part of me says that will end up in the xmas party kitty, hopefully the person who lost it will claim it (though who carries large amounts of cash to supermarkets?) - still I'm a firm believer of what goes around comes around.

czerniacha - so sorry to hear about your job, but like the others have said, you'll be suprised at what's round the corner waiting for you. My FIL says 'what's for you will'nae go by you' and I think he's right on that one xx

No Mr T for me until thrus, well apart from a 28p pack of ibruprofen today...well I wasn't paying 60-odd pence in S*vers :rotfl:
