Wow! you lot can't half natter, been offline since yesterday p.m so just caught up with all the chatter
All the best with cat, they are a worry when unwell and know what you mean about wishing they could talk (although sometimes I think it's best they can't :rotfl:)
I got two at 75p in diff stores, bot spiced gingerbread ones. Berries and spice was scanning at £6 in Sl*ugh Xtra so I think it varies store to store.
Managed to get an 8p casserole dish tonight, thanks for that :T were 4 on the shelf and nearly didn't bother checking the barcodes....the one I got was the last one I checked and the only one with the correct code.
Tons of toilet roll in R*eading W*st - correct SEL but scanning at £5.
Broke into a cold sweat when i had to pay full price for some bin liners :rotfl:
Off to catch up on all the other news I've missed so nite all xx
so did you get dtd on the loo rolls?0 -

Thanks everyone:beer:
Went to Ts tonight and got 2 battery chargers @ £2, none on shelf but the first time I'd seen a SEL so asked and a nice mgr checked on the system and it showed there were 2 in store and he sent sa to get them for me. Had to wait ages and half expected sa to return saying the couldn't be found. Also found the pantene and got the last 5 so that will keep me going for a couple of years :rotfl: No £1 clothes for me as they had virtually gone. (although a sa said they were adding to the rack as fast as people were buying.) Got 2 things for friends little one. Checked out the pet stuff and found the pet beds going through at 1p:j:j:j took 4 and left about a dozen. Also got an 8p casserole dish, the only one of 4 with the right barcode for my nephew.
Half hour visit took just over an hr with OH waiting in car. I was in trouble to say the least.:eek::eek: I had every intention of not being long but........:(
It's not that he is unreasonable but gets agrophobic and doesn't feel comfortable waiting so long or going to busy places and I can't drive.
Could really do with a shopping buddy.
Was so excited about 1p find and stressing over the time that I forgot to use the dettol vouchers (surface spray currently £1 and would have got it for 50p):eek:0 -
ah don't keep us waiting
nikililala and i have an early start tomrrow
ps nikkilala my schedule's the same as yours except i'm not taking my mum, she slows me down plus she's looking after Ds2
sis can you take her if you're reading this pretty pls??:D
oh dear... sorry I've made you wait, but I had lots to do, and then one of my best mates became a Grandad for the first time this afternoon and was all exited so wanted a gossip!
Anyway, i'm back here replying to this.... I haven't even read the last 2 pages yet!!!!!
I sooooooo nearly got trouted.... what a laugh!
Ended up having to go tonight with a whinging teenager... which made being at the SS even more fun!
My first transaction was for 6 packs of lucozade 6 bottles for 3 x 5p off fuel voucher... and that receipt is already submitted to the price checker (hopefully £3 back, i'll have something to say if not) and also nearly £10 off the fuel I got! Hoefully that will last me a month, but probably not all the Mr T runs I do :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Second transation..... first items 2 x caserole dishes, with 3 sheets of bubble wrap from the veggie dept.... big mistake!!! You wouldn;t believe this upset the SS scales resulting in appearance of 'trout' who glanced at screen and said what dishes are they? Are they just off the shelf? (Erm, no, I brought them with me:p) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Off she dashes, leaving the SS completely unmanned! Me stands there thinking about the fact that I took 2 with the correct 8p bar code, and left 2 with the £3 bar code behind .... and my concentration went out of the window, otherwise I would have stuck my card in and paid for the dishes there and then.... yeh, a total 16p worth!!!
Instead, my DS had me quietly yelling at him to get the other things scanned ASAP, knowing all I needed to do was finish the transaction before trout returned! And most of the items were whoopsied down to pennies fruit and veg, which also had scrunched up labels or didn;t want to weigh properly  and till kept asking me if I was using my own bags..... After a lot of faffing with bags and putting things in and out it eventually unfroze.... just as I saw the affore mentioned trout appear at the next till with 2 casserole dishes in her hands.... yes, you guessed it...... the 2 I left behind!!! Oh heck, she's now scanned them, and the trout face turned even more sour when they came up at £3..... she was just back to my till in time to see me keying in my card number..... I made sure I sounded pretty fed up with my DS and made out our argument wasn;t to do with the fact he wasn;t SSing quickly enough....but more to do with the fact that i;m fed up with being here now, I just want to get home!!! It was a cover of course... he's getting used to it now :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Talk about a close shave.... I swear she wanted to take them from me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Best of transaction was
2 casserole dishes 16p
bag carrots 8p
bunch bananas 10p
4 baking potatoes 10p
half cucumber 4p
6 tomatoes 9p
And something I been looking for for weeks....
2 x booster digital indoor ariel £3 each! (one for each bedroom! YAY)
Unfortunalty 12 loo rolls price checked at £5, really frustrating having seen an empty space above a £2.55 SEL in 2 different Extra stores in the last few days!!!!
Ok, after writing all this, I bet the 2 pages I hadn;t read have now become at least 3 and you've ALL gone to bed.0 -
Andrex 12 roll pack barcode 029053024882, think they are changing to 9 roll packs.0

The rainbow flag is a symbol of LGBT, lesbian, gay, bisexual & transexual, At my sons school they have one on a flagpole to show that they do not discriminate in any way against LGBT's. And I think that it's great. Kids nowadays are brought up to be far more accepting than the older generation.:T:T:T:T
I know lots of people have asked for this issue not to be brought up again but I would just like to post as I read this earlier and just had to respond....
I have a girl 'friend' who is lesbian, and does loads of stuff within the local pride group and activities here, especially when it comes to the main pride day and parade. This year she asked me to volunteer to help out where she knew there would be a lot of responsibility and wanted someone she could really trust... most of her other friends were involved in lots of other stuff on the day. I had no problem with this. My 14 year old DS came with me, and i said he could just wander off round our city for the day if he wanted. I couldn't believe he hung around instead, meeting and speaking to lots of diverse people, and then how involved with the parade he ended up being, even managing to obtain himself a stewards radio and help out directing the march. He has never shown any signs of being anything but straight... although in this day and age it wouldn't matter, but it proved to me just how excepting of other individuals choices he has become.
I just have to say I was very proud of him.0 -
