OMG just got another dtd........................can't believe it, 2 in 4 days, and again another biggie.

Whilst driving round from work, with a friend, she asked could we stop at tesco she wanted a coffee.................pah coffee, i was off to look for cheap stuff.

At the end of one is the aisle's was some mobile phones, reduced, don't need one of these.

But there was also some cordless handsets, did a quick scan and saw the BT Stratus 1500 set, with a yellow sell of £79.99, reduced from £164.00

now i was sure i'd read on here about them being reduced, saw a young lad with a hand held scanner and asked him to scan it, 'flippin heck that can't be right he said' and there was me thinking oh a electrical bargain.

How much i asked £164...................don't know who looked more shocked him (at the fact that phones could cost that much) or me thinking kerchingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg, when i realised it wasn't a reduced electrical but a dtd

went back to the end of aisle products, checked and double checked the bar code and yes it matched.

Went and paid, when asked to check the amount on my card, i started to fiddle with my phone in my hand, and pretended not to look.

Walked off, went straight to cs...........bought my lucky lottery ticket for tonight, and then went through the whole i've been over charged..............took the young girl to the yellow sell, she came back with it, rang the dep mananger who just happened to be there, she explained and then he just checked the bar codes matched, they they whispered, and i heard him say, it's company policy.
The young girl just started to mess about, and there's me looking innocent, next my friend came over, i explained to her, and we stood there talking.
Next the young girl asked me to put my card in the maching and accept the refund of £172 (i paid £164) she then told me the policy and that tesco was paying me to take the product away. This yellow sell was 4 days out of date. tut tut

Called in my tesco on the way home just see if they'd left the sel out on the phones in our shop, but no.

    Thank you Mr T

  • Ok - been to two local T's - result!!:T

Not a big one but who says size matters:p:p

First T'sFound 2 of the battery chargers - charged £4 instead of £40.

Next store found another2 battery chargers (mwaah to the OP) AND Mini Etch a sketch .90p, 2 x Zu zu ballroom sets - £1.50 each, Ben 10 party invites - 15p each, Minnie/Mickie mouse beakers - 10p each, twirling batons at 10p each and finally 2 x electric blankets - £1.50 each. Thats several crimbo pressies/party bits sorted out. Shame I didn't find a vacuum cleaner - our house is in a disgusting state :(:(

Not a bad day.... Probably spent too much today as I treated myself to a 16" telly that was reduced to £67.49, last one on shelf.

Anyway... also got a pizza, 2 boxes of £1.24 fish fingers, tin of soup, and big box of persil non bio powder that's half price at £3.20.

Vouchers used, £5 off electrical, £1 off £5 frozen spend, free pizza, £1 off persil, and free soup...... Total came to less than the telly was reduced to, just over £66 paid. ;)

SA had no problem with any of the vouchers except 1.... the 'safe coupon' for free pizza. 'Oh, we have to get internet vouchers verified now!' but not a word said about the pdf ones!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: 3 staff and what felt like about 10 mins later.... on yes, thats fine. Have you not got round to staff training yet Mr T??????

Then on the way home I popped into an Express and picked up 2 packets of 'half price' sensations, 90p each.... took them through SS, -90p BOGOF to pay 90p.... Thanks Mr T :T
