Paper Mache Volcano Project Help

Lol my darling LO has been given the task of making a paper mache volcano for a school project - aren't these teachers lovely!
Anyway he's done an amazing job but we were wondering how to give it that shiny top coat that you see in many of the pictures of them?

Thanks for any help!

I usually do 2 parts glue, 1 part water and give it a good mix :)
  • Don't forget the gold glitter for extra wow!

When I made one last year glitter finished it off really well. It might not be to a boy's taste though.

A light sprinkle should be enough.
I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.

  • if you stuck some bicarb in it then he pours on vinegar with food colouring in it, it will be the real deal.

  • Thanks guys, we are doing something like this in my class soon and I can now make my example to the kids look absolutely fab. I flipping hate art, not got an artistic bone in my body. Have nabbed a great teaching assistant this year though who is so great with it
