Disconnecting Aga boiler, how much?

Hi all,
Just bought a new gaff that has a gas converted Aga installed. Does anyone have any experience of disconnecting the boiler and making good the Aga to be used as a cooker only?
If so, how much did it cost? Or did you do it yourself?
I've been quoted £350 by the local technicians which seems pricey for disconnecting a boiler!
Thanks in advance.

It won't just be disconnected, you want it converted from heating to cooking only.0

Agas don't do heating ( That's a Rayburn) .
What I think you are alluding to is that you wish to disconnect the boiler which supplies a gravity fed hot water tank.
This can be done by just disconnecting it and filling with sand. (Do not reseal the boiler to avoid explosion !)
You may find someone here if you have further questions. The forum should help http://www.agacentral.com/drupal/0
