Tesco TV died, less than a year old. Advice please

We took the TV back to Tesco yesterday and received a full refund of £99.97
As some posters had predicted there were no problems at all. Recently we have had a few run-ins with some of the Customer Service staff in our local store but the lady yesterday could not have been more pleasant or helpful.
Apparently the same TV was displayed on their system as £5 less than we paid. Unfortunately there were none on their shelves. We will be shopping in a larger Tesco store about 10 miles away next weekend and will check there.
Once again I would like to express my gratitude to all of the MSErs who have taken to time to view and post.

May I add, within the first year, the seller NOT THE MANUFACTURER is bound to refund you or replace the item with a replacement equal to it. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU EVEN CONSIDER CONTACTING THE MANUFACTURER WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR, EVER!
When you buy an item, you are entering into a contract. That contract is with the seller! It doesn't matter if the manufacturer is in Timbuktu, gone bust, dead etc, etc. You bought it from Tesco, and your contract is with them!

Change that to you should never contact the manfacturer ever - unless they offer a guarantee for over 6 years as you are protected by the sale of goods act for up to 6 years and this contract is with the seller.
On another note - well done OP.0 -
As an aside, Bush TV = Rubbish.
I bought one which was badged as a Mitsubishi. Lasted a year then died, repaired then died again about 14 months later.
My original Mitsubishi lasted for 14 years before it packed in.
Glad you got your money backWe all evolve - get on with it0 -

As an addition to that I believe under the same act the seller has the right to try and repair the item. Only if they are not able to repair the item satisfactorily you have the right to demand a refund/replacement.0
