buffeting/slow/hesitant pictures

Hi, trea me gently. I use it, but don't understand it !

Whenever I play a U tube clip, or I player, etc. the 'picture' will run for a few seconds,, then stop, run, then stop... No fluidity. Computer is starting t run slowly. 4 years old, no doubt cluttered up.
Is this a flashplayer problem ? (recently downloaded a new version)

Could be a number of basic issues: slow internet speeds, slow PC, inferior internet browser.

You dont say which one you are on, but try Chrome, then FireFox.

for the clips start the video and then pause it, wait for a while and then play the clip - cold just be a slow internet connection
is the computer always running slow, ie in other programs rather than just the browser?

could be the computer, the broadband/cable speed, the wireless strength, or a combination of . what's the spec. of the machine ?
