We have recently bought a waterlattex matress and it is very supportive, we paid £299 for a double sized from a local bed shop, which is cheaper than onlinebeds, so far no complaints and no sore necks, not sure how a Tempur differs apart from price.

Thanks JS. Have just read your reply and missed the auction deadline!!
If you bid and win, do you get the option of the sizes stated?

I want to bid for a 5" British Kingsize....which mattress measurement do i need?

The mattresses are also described as "Viskose" and "Viskose Dream" via the different links you gave. Is this the same mattress?

Try this site its excellent: http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=1080221

The 'Full' size is $79.99, they do international delivery and the total comes to £116.31 which includes

    US Shipping & Handling £1.62
    International Shipping & Handling £33.73
Customs, Duties, Taxes, and Insurance £37.06

they have other variations, choose which one is best for you

PS You would need to do a bit of research into the actual sizes, they are listed as twin, full, queen etc etc

I had the same problem when I hit 40. I bought a special pillow from Makro for about 15 quid. Thought it was worth a punt and it did the job fine. No problems now - so long as I don't lie in too long!

Might be worth pointing out that this is just a mattress topper, and not the full mattress?

We always go for Silent Night one's. The last one at christmas time was about £150.00 for a double matress. Also we bought an othopedic pillow each, about £7.99 for one, abit pricey but very supportive.

Firm enough for you to hold the pillow by its two short corners and it will hold out straight - hope that makes sence.
  • Go to your local independent furniture / bed shop and see what they can do for you. At least you should be able to try out different mattresses. Also check your bed base. Any warranty on a mattress will be affected if your bed is older than 3 years old as any fault in the base will affect your mattress. As for softness / hardness that is a bit of a personal preference, you need to make sure that the mattress is supporting you properly by keeping your spine as straight as poss. A bed can feel soft because of the level of fillings, doesn't mean it isn't supportive, likewise an 'ortho' bed will often just be extremely firm - not necessarily the answer to a bad back.
