Connector to connect 68mm drainpipe and hosepipe?

Hi
I have bought a house and there's a section of flat roof where the upstairs neighbours drainpipe comes straight onto the roof without a drain. The water is obviously collecting here.
There's an incline on the roof about 4 foot away, but not at this point.
As we don't have much room, I thought about connecting the bottom of the 68mm drainpipe to a hosepipe and running this to the incline, but I can't find any sort of convertor/adapter for this purpose that's watertight.
Can anyone recommend such a thing?

A hosepipe is too narrow and would get blocked quickly with leaves and could not cope with heavy rainfall. A right angle bend and short length of drainpipe would be more suitable.0

what about a water butt?0

Yeah - a water butt could be a great idea. I've tried to find a small one, but they're all bigger than 100l and hefty enough. Anyone know of a genuinely small water butt (suppose that would defeat the purpose somewhat)0

Why don't you just extend the existing down pipe to where you want the water to exit. Putting a hose on it will almost certainly block it in a very short time.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
As others have said, forget about a hosepipe, and extend the down pipe - where is nearest gutter on that flat roof?
P.S Why is there a saucepan on your roof?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
I'm looking at a similar problem. The best way as has already been said is to extend the drainpipe using a 92.5 degree offset bend and length of 68mm pipe. However if more convenient there is a drainpipe to hose connector available, the Sankey Rainwater Diverter Kit (EAN: 5012859010838) which has a 3m length of hose. It's meant for filling garden water butts but would probably suffice in your case. If the hose gets blocked or the water flow rate exceeds the capacity of the hose the rainwater will discharge through the drainpipe as normal.0
