laptop:advent modena 201
windows 7 home premium
problem:my built in webcam isnt working,the light for it comes on during start up then goes off,if i press fn and f7 to start it i get an error message:no function
any ideas anyone

Start > right click on 'computer' > properties > device manager. Have you got a yellow blob or a cross on something? it sounds like you might have a corrupt device driver for it and you'll need to re-install.
The light coming on when you boot up would indicate that the hardware is ok but Windows isn't seeing it
either that or you've been caught getting your tadger out and the internet police have disabled it.0 -
