A WINDFALL!!

Yay I just got a letter from the bank offering £1558 refund for PPI... this brings everything forward massively!! Recalculation of debt free date to follow....

A much needed update - have updated my signature to reflect the current situation...am so nearly debt free...I can taste it!

I only have £550 to pay off my credit card (at 0%), and that is the only immediate debt left, as have got rid of my overdraft and all other credit cards. I am soon due £800 so in effect it is already paid off I'm so happy!

So the only other debts I have after that are my loan, which I may as well continue paying off in instalments rather than incur an early repayment charge - that's £88 a month (£760 left to go). There is also a car loan which I pay out but then a family member pays me back as they are using the car. So I will probably let that just run for the year it has left (but may consider an early repayment just to get rid of it then the payback from the family member will be income).

So...it's over to the savings thread for me! I haven't been on this forum much recently, but always get a boost of motivation to keep paying things off whenever I come on the MSE website.
