Johnsons dry cleaners - personal information

Be very careful if you use Johnsons for your dry cleaning. They now take your personal info. (name, address and telephone number) which they enter into their computer sysyem. When they give you your ticket in small print there is a clause which states that if you don't tick the box and hand this to the assistant that your personal details will be used for marketing and passed on to other 'carefully selected' companies. (Meaning we're selling your name on). I automatically asked why they wanted all these details, and was told it was just to contact me in case of a problem with my cleaning - no information as to the true reason was revealed. It was only when I bothered to read the ticket (in tiny print) that I discovered the truth. Few people would suspect that their dry cleaners would be guilty of selling on their names, and give personal details without a seconds thought.
