You could also use the babysitting service for you & OH to have a meal out.
November will also have the pre-Christmas activities :)

The Winterwonderland is looking quite appealing. Do you know the cost of babysitting? The website makes no mention of babysitting services and it's something that would definately interest us. It seems you can't get an idea of the costs of these things until you've actually made a booking and therefore have a reference number, which is a bit annoying.

Does the babysitting get booked up really early?

Thanks for all the other suggestions from everyone, I'm working my way through them.

To be honest I don't know what the current babystitting rates are as both of mine are older teenagers now.
I do remember it was well worth the money, and all of them were great!
We booked it prior to going when we had a restaurant booking, and then confirmed onsite.
I'd give customer services a ring, they're usually really helpful on the phone.
If you do want to do this then book early, especially as you are going during the 'buggy' season and they could get busy.

I go to CP with my 3 age 9, 7 & 3 & we all love it. Been going since my eldest was 3. We go swimming, walking, cycling, eating, bowling....... there's a great soft play in Whinfell in the sports hall & my youngest loves it there. The girls go roller blading or play table tennis or they go up stairs to the pool tables & they'll happily play pool.

We have also been to the Winter Wonderland which is beautiful. They also have a briliant panto. CP is not expensive & you have the bonus of having kids so young & not in school so you can take them anytime. They do offer breaks at the moment for £199 for 4 nights.

A relative of mine went to Bluestone for the 1st time last month - she didn't think much of it - far too quiet for an 18 month old. They had to leave Bluestone for things to do - at least CP do offer lots for kids.

Don't write it off......the kids would love it - remember you don't go on holiday to be rushed off your feet - take each day as it comes & relax. And you can get to Whinfell in 2 hours of Manchester.

I'll try & find out the babysitting rate for you.

Found out the price is £8.50 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours hired.

Hi, I would have thought that Center Parcs would be great, there is lots there for little ones to do.

For a cheaper alternative have you looked at smaller, privately owned holiday parks? Somewhere like Hoseasons is a good place to start to give you some ideas. I suppose the problem is that you are very out of season at the end of November and not all the facilities may be open. Would definitely be worth a look though.

I would highly recommend Ribby Hall near Blackpool, we went in April with our 4 year old and he loved it, booked to go again next summer. www.ribbyhall.co.uk

    What about Bluestone in Wales?

They have a small Centre Parcs style pool, and an adventure centre which your children would love.

    Accommodation is nice too.

i second that vote, i went last year in late september with our 3 year old. The beds were so comfortable :D , swimming pool warm. All the facilities of blackpool close by.
  • go to center parcs!! my parents took me all the time when i was young and i still love it now as i see it as returning to my childhood (i am now 27). you dont need to spend much money once you are in the park..... buying food and drink from a supermarket before and bringing your own bikes. there are many things for young children to do other than the pool, you are surrounded by nature, squirrels, birds, ducks and there are playparks made for younger children. i would definatley reccommend center parcs, but be smart and save money where you can!
