Latest British Gas retrospective price increase ripoff

Just had my british gas bill, only use gas for central heating and has been switched off since May so no gas used since although some used early in current period, But British gas timed thier increase before end of current quarter and subsequently average usage over the full period to split prices effectively applying the increase to gas used in may prior to the increase in prices, thus a bill that should be about £42 is now approx £45 representing a 5% increased paymernt on gas that has not been used within the increased price period, add tjis up over the entire British Gas customers and it is quite a hefty lump of cash.
