I had a Natwest overdraft of £2100. Up till last month I didnt have an overdraft but was in a sticky spot and decided to use it on a temporary basis...... Decided to increase it online by £200 to a total of £2300 and was advised this can take up to 48 hours to show.
After 48 hours went to get cash out and it was declined. Anyway it turns out in my haste - rushing to get ready in the morning etc etc I had accidently requested £1300 !! Basically £700 less than my current agreement. Completly my fault but a genuine accident. ( I often muddle numbers as I have dyscalculia ) I can't increase my overdraft back to £2000 as being £700 over the agreed has damaged my score with the bank !! My pay is now going to get swallowed up and bills not paid.
Has anyone else done this ( probably not ! ) and any suggestions ??

Is your account still under branch control?
If so they can 'refer' the overdraft application on to be looked at - if they explain the situation you may get it reinstated.0 -
They said they have authorised an increse to £2000 so that it wont look like I am £700 over my limit but at the same time they said any money paid in will still be swallowed into the overdraft as I am officially only allowed £1300.....
Can only think to see if my work will pay me to another account but might be too late. payday is Friday. Im so annoyed with myself.0 -
