Help!! Hotpoint Washer Door Jammed!

Does anyone know how I can get the washer machine door to open? It has just beend repaired and was on it's second wash and blew the electrics out, then managed to get the washing machine going again and it finished the cycle but the door won't undo. It normally has a 2 minute time delay. However, it will not open!!!
Can anyone tell me what to do please? Thanks in advance

This happened our Hotpoint. It kept blowing the electrics on a high spin & on certain washes. :eek:
Anyway most of the time we could get the door open after pressing the off switch & leaving it for a while. If this didn't work we turned it off at the wall for a while.

Finally nothing worked & the repair man was only able to open it by removing the top - it slides back (model WD62? i think). He then reached down & physically pushed the latch.

Needless to say we now have a new machine! (Still a Hotpoint & it's great - really quiet & can fit loads in it)

edit: Remove plug from wall before going near the insides!
