That didn't include any toiletries or cleaning products. I've had a stockpile for MONTHS now and still probably got enough to keep us going until after christmas (shameful i know but i'm learning not to bulk buy as much, lol).

not shameful at all! very sensible in my opinion! saves having to buy it each month.

I have quite a few bottles of washing up liquid under my stairs. A little stockpile of washing liquid and softener. Upstairs have enough toothpaste for about 6 months (hopefully), enough shampoo, conditioner and shower gel for the next 6 months. It means when I have to shop am not spending money on these items.

Although if I see them on special offer, will stock up on them, especially if I can get it for pennies.

and today I was thinking I need to start cooking from scratch. just find it difficult as DS has to be fed as soon as we get in, otherwise loses interest. We don't own a freezer, just an icebox, so makes it difficult to batch cook and freeze.

Know DS loves to help me cook and likes making his own pizzas etc, so that is not a problem.

Morning-yes im a nutter got carried away doing comps

Counting pennies-you sound very organised, 8pints puts my 4pints to shame!
sounds like been hard glad your daughters better now.
nothing wrong with stockpiling long life stuff cheap or on offer as makes the hard months easier as dont have to buy thinks like bog roll, soap washing up liquid ect.
find dfw and oldstyle the freindlyist boards on mse so dont be afraid to come out of lurkdom.

aesop- I cook from scratch most nights but we have 1 frozen night and odd takeaway.

what about cooking slightly more as long as in tubs would keep in fridge up to 3days then reheat in microwave.
Maybe get slowcooker if not got already and chuck in in moirning eb ready by time get home.

Do simple things like jacket potato
    pasta with passata
    curry
    stirfry
    chilli
    spagbol.

Anyway entered about 25comps tonight was only aiming for 15.
    but thinking imroves my chances.

    right best go bed.

Just when I thought my month was over another £10 MS payment appeared in my account!
  • Morning ladies....lethargic few days with depression+headaches so not much made

I did however notice that S*tander had charged me 8p for slipping to my overdraft apparently (how little they know me - MSE to the end I never go into the overdraft on my account) so I rang them up to query the 8p as I checked through my statement and at no point had it gone into negative....

I went on their site to find their new customers application 0800 number (wasn't gonna get scr*wed for phone call)... and lo and behold the woman on the phone couldn't find a reason for an overdraft interest charge and so reversed it....

really annoyed tbh...no apology or anything - I said I've spent 1hr racking my brains reading this statement over and over trying to see the charge reason and 5 minutes on hold on the telephone before getting through....and the error is with you.

still no apology - just that s*tander advise all their customers to check their statements...too bloody right I will from now on.....I dislike them enough based on one phone call to now be looking elsewhere...

    <end of rant> :D

just wanted to post this up incase they've tried it on with others this month....best to check your statements xxx

Yay to 57 sleeps! Im off to raid sainsburys again today, want to see if i can pick up a bargain or two-last year they put out the previous years stock with reduced prices. I remember some harry potter thing that was supposed to be £15 going through the tills at 32p!!

Its been the first week of comping and I've entered over 700 comps!! Still no sign of a win but most comps end on monday or tuesday next week :D

The boy's got a beavers halloween party today and has asked me if i'll make him into a mummy. I dont do things by half so off to pick up some bandages....!

Nothing made on the money front yet, but I've made target anyway so not to worry! Have a good day ladies :D

700 comps in a week! You put me to shame.

    I was aiming to enter 10 a day/70 a week.
my first proper week of comping
think will overdo target as entered more than 10a day between 20-40 so reckon I entered approx 80 so thourght have 100 a week.
Now thinking maybe I should aim higher.

How did you manage to find 700comps in aweek?
    How longs it taken you?
guess some are monthlys so next week will be less?
good luck im sure you should win something.

im not a very lucky person but hoping for the best.

    Checked email no surveys
nothing to get cashback on today:(
still havent had chance to do photos.
