Quite...it was probably quite a typical experience for Vauxhall owners.
I'd never buy another, that's for sure.
But I'd think about leasing one, which I guess is the point - it *was* a nice car to drive and anything major would be covered under warranty - just takes the uncertainty out of it.0 -

Great advice if by "decent modern car" you mean German.
Although the car has been ok, I personally think the whole "german" thing is over rated, overall the build quality on the BM although reliable has probably been about the worst built car I have had, my daughters Yaris, and my Hyundai are rock solid by comparison.I am a mortgage adviser.You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I never had much luck with Vauxhall's either, they all had heavy repair bills.0

you may be right. We all have different experiences. I personally find the "look" of German auto design more appealing than other manufacturers. It doesn't seem to age as badly as other manufacturers. For instance Jap/french.I personally think the whole "german" thing is over rated
