Quick Quid....Thoughts?

Hi all!

Haven't posted on here for a while so here goes!

I am struggling a bit this month to pay bills due to not having a job. I have just got a temporary role and I started today so I am happy about that.

There is no way I can borrow any money from anymore family members so I am thinking of turning to quick quid? Do they consider anyone who has a bit of bad credit? For example, I have missed a couple of loan payments and a credit company was chasing me for some money a while back but correspondance has stopped and they haven't chased me for a good 5 months now.

Is it worth me trying to apply, even for just £150? (Which is what I need!)

Thanks in advance :)

  • In my opinion lending from this type of company is madness. Their tv adverts say they are commited to responsible lending but their interest rates are in the 1000%'s!!
Maybe I don't know enough about these companies but it definitley wouldnt be something I'd consider.

What bills are you struggling to pay? depending on what they are can you pay just a proportion of the amount this month and the remainder next month or ask if you can pay next month instead?
What will be the implications of not paying these bills? (again it will depend on what bills they are).

I would avoid payday lenders if you possibly can.

  • If you can try and avoid them at all costs, but I know sometimes people are in such a financial mess they have too.

    :)

They may well have sold your debt on to a debt collecting agency,I would expect some letters to arrive soon

Hiya, thanks for the reply :) I know, it's not ideally what I want to do but I don't really have anyone else to turn to. I have already borrowed from my grandparents and my Dad is reluctant to give me any as he is in a poorly paid job and struggling himself and I would feel awful asking my other half as he has helped me so much already.

I just want to know what the chance is of me getting accepted?

    Thanks :)

Yes they already did that I think but since I have contacted them a few times (as they made a catistrophic error!...basically they said that if I sent a laptop back, they would write off all money that I owe them but then they turned round and said they had never recieved the laptop) After me sending over several proofs of delivery and even the name of the person who signed for it, they seem to have shut up!!!

Well, it's hard for anyone to say if it's likely you'll be accepted until you try to be honest.

However, my main reason for posting is to say I'd rather my other half came to me again for help, rather than find out she went there. Seriously.

I am struggling to pay my loan (£103.49), a mobile phone bill and a broadband bill. I can try with my bank but they're not very lenient as I'm sure you can imagine! I might try and call Orange and see what they can do for me as I couldn't pay in time a couple of months ago as I was waiting for my first pay slip from another job and they let me pay a few weeks later. Maybe they could do it again?

From what you have posted I think you would probably be accepted by pdl companies (not specifically sure about quickquid but in general).

However are you sure you will be able to afford to repay the whole loan and charges and all of next month's usual expenses and bills from your monthly earnings from your new temporary job? If you are in any doubt then don't take out the loan.
I would certainly be asking other half or selling things etc before considering using one of these companies. And like dabooka, I would much rather my OH asked me than went to this type of company. In fact I'd be very annoyed if they went to this sort of company without asking me for help first.

I've used wonga and it was fine - check out quidco as well as there is cashbck to be had on soem companies.
Chances of getting acce3pted for £150 for a few days pretty high I would say.

People with bad credit describe their entire customer base. Nobody without a bad credit file would go anywhere near such a ridiculous loan company.

They would welcome you with open arms, they are very well prepared for you to borrow money and fail to repay.

As far as PDL companies go - The World is your Oyster. They will be fighting for your custom in anticipation of hitting you with HUGE charges.

Swallow your pride and ask your other half - This path is madness.
