Beware!!!!! - Nectar and BP Connect 5p Off vouchers

I received BP Connect vouchers for 5p off per litre of fuel. When I went and tried to use it at the BP Store (HKS Colne Wiggenhall Road, Colne, Watford WD18 0FS per the receipt), this voucher was declined but they gave me 91 Nectar points for the GBP127 (91.01 litres) worth of Diesel I had filled up in my car. The vendor declined the voucher because he said this was a "franchise store" not a BP Owned store.
There is nothing on the store or anywhere to suggest this is not a BP Connectstore. I think it is pretty outrageous that you send out BP vouchers make us go to BP stores and then we cannot get the discount. This is absolute fraud on the general public and misleading advertisement which, depending on your response, does anyone know if we could complain to the Office of Fair Trading for misrepresentation.
Thank you

If the voucher said "redeemable at a BP Connectstore" and HKS Colne is not a BP Connectstore then they were within their rights not to discount the fuel price. I would not have expected the filling station (or any other business premises) to state who they were not.
I understand your annoyance having spent £127 on fuel (you must have a large 4X4), but it's not fraud. It's similar to offers multiples advertise, but state "Available at selected stores/restaurants only". You have to read the small print. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
