FileZilla too. Best about, and they're nearly finished on version 3 which has been ported to all sorts (namely Linux!).

Thanks, I have been using filezilla, its really easy to use, but it doesn't seem to allow to edit files, so I am having to download them to my computer and edit them using notepad.

I don't know of many clients that will let you do that. It's quite restricted too as only certain file types will be supported.

Ideally it's good to keep a "development" version on your machine anyway (as a backup if anything). Any changes you make, you then just upload to the ftp site.
