Is the wireless on your router turned on?
My Linksys was off by default, and had to be turned on in the router settings. Your Speedtouch may be similar.0 -

Er...I don't know, how would I find out?0 -
Did you use n AOL CD to set the router up?
If you did, there should be a link (on your desktop, or in your Start menu) to get to the router settings.
It's an IP address, usually 192.168.1.1 with a login and password both admin
If you don't understand that, just try typing those numbers into your address bar and see what comes up. If there's a login box, use admin in both fields and you should be able to see the router settings.0 -
I used an AOL wizard, downloaded from the internet - (the speedtouch is actually one of the few that they claim to support!) I don't have any links to router on the desktop nor can I see anything on start menu.
Nothing comes up using the ip address above.0 -
Just had a look at the Speedtouch and they use 192.168.1.254 just to be different. Almost every other router uses ...1.1 but they have to be different.0

Follow the manual available at http://www.speedtouch.co.uk/codepages/content3.asp?c=7&ProductID=511
Wireless is enabled by default. Connect computer to router with Ethernet cable and click http://192.168.1.254 to access the web interface to check the wireless settings.0 -
Thanks, I've got on the web interface, but I don't have a clue what I am suppossed to do!0

I should have asked earlier - is the WLAN light on the router doing anything? It could be Red, Amber, Green (on or flashing) or Off.
Back to basics.0 -

I'm off now, if you haven't read the setting up pages in the user guide in Chippy Minton's link then I suggest you do. If you still don't have success or don't understand something then we couldtry gain tomorrrow, or someone else might jump in to assist.0
