Bosch Dishwasher safety notice

Had a letter this morning to say that my Bosch Dishwasher may be affected by a potential fire hazard. (Also applies to Neff and Siemens).
Affected dishwashers are certain models in the batch number range from FD 7901 to FD 8504. You'll find the number either engraved or on a sticker on the top left hand side of the inner part of the door.
My dishwasher was bought years ago, I can't remember off-hand how many and it is one of the affected ones. Engineer is calling on Wednesday to repair, so very good service.
To anyone who thinks they may be affected, but hasn't received letter, you can check on www.repairaction.co.uk where you have to enter the model number, E-Nr. (the number in large print engraved or stuck on the door, and the batch number which begins FD below that).

We had one of these notices and couldn't for the life of us locate the batch number - it wasn't where it said in the letter.
After several phone calls, it transpired that a Calgon sticker had been placed over the batch number, although when that was removed we had to shine a torch on it and hold the door at a funny angle to see what the batch number was - the engraved ones are not at all easy to see.
After all that fuss and palaver, it transpired that we weren't in the affected batch number range at all - but we still keep getting letters!
You'd think after two phone calls they might have updated their database by now.0 -
We had repair carried out yesterday. Seems to have replaced the whole electronic control unit, so should give added life to dishwasher - very pleased.0

Same with us. They keep writing to me and every time I check the numbers we're not in the range, but still they keep writing,"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
