No delivery and no contact - Next Home

Sorry this is a bit of a rant!
I'm getting !!!!!! off!!
Ordered new sofas in July. Lead time for delivery at time of purchase was 6 weeks. We are now into the 10th week, Next Home (the furniture store) have not been in touch at all. I called them when the 6 weeks were up, and the guy at the call centre (Who frankly couldn't give a toss) said that they were waiting on new stock arriving to the warehouse on the 20th, and that should be in touch to deliver around then. I still haven't heard a thing from Next at all. I am reasonable, but the lack of customer communication is terrible!
I want my new sofas... Got rid of old one weeks ago, totally sick of sitting on deckchairs. Plus being quite fat and 7 months pregnant, I so need a comfy chair. I know its not relevant to Next, but it is to me! <wail>
Paid in full for said sofas, and getting really hacked off now.
It all feels a bit tough luck and I'm at their mercy.
I have emailed them over the weekend and they say they'll be in touch within 7 days. I'm not good at complaining on the phone (low self esteem!!)
Any advice or experience dealing with Next would be very gratefully received! Thanks
