    You need to identify for certain what the virus is.before dealing with it

    You could try running Symantec virus detection which should identify the file/s in your system which are causing the problem. It should also id problems within your registry. If you backed up your registry before you downloaded the virus then it is simple to replace the current one with the previous clean one, otherwise you may have to enter the registry and delete offending entries.

    Hi thanks for your input. i'll certainly bear that in mind if i ever get another virus. For now though, im pretty happy to report that my system is running as smooth as - thanks to the good nature and persistence of the MSE Techs..

    Just a quick question guys. Ive just been reading through *miaomiao* post "Start-up: What can I get rid of"?

    After reading that Spybot is better than Ccleaner to control start-up, i thought id download it from Cnet and have a play with it. I got these Facemood things come up (as below) I understand that they are not exactly a virus as such but, they can be Bstrds for Re-directs.

    Am i ok to delete the selected files? Thanks
