car warranty not authorised
Hi Can someone help? my partner bought a 51 plate mini cooper from a dealer on ebay which came with a three month warranty, after having the car for 4 days it broke down on the side of the motorway, The AA came and said the gearbox had a hole in the side of it. the mini is obviously not driveable, we have had it towed to a garage who have quoted approx £900 to repair, the warranty company are refusing to pay as they are saying its general wear and tear and not mechanical fault so its not covered by the warranty. where do we stand with this as i thought if a car was under warranty we would be ok if anything happened

Forget the warranty go after them under Sale of Goods Act. This could be a long haul, so keep notes and put in writing if possble.0
