My Sky+ recordings are out of sync with the sound track. How do you re-synch it?

Are you certain that the original broadcast was OK?
I have never experienced out of synch sound and vision on Sky+.
Make a test recording and watch it live and then play it back. Does it go out of synch?
If yes, contact Sky if you are under warranty.
If you are out of warranty try a planner rebuild or full system reset. The latter will however wipe all your recordings.
Press Services and then press “4, 0, 1, Select” to get the hidden menu for this.0 -
I get that sometimes when I have paused a recording. To rectify simply pause and restart - should then be ok.Play up Pompey!0

This is a known problem with some sky+ boxes (especially PVR2s)
it was on watch dog and everything - my last box was almost unwatchable with it
now have a newer box and all is good - if you are in warranty phone sky - good luck getting through though!!0 -
If you have problems with Sky Customer Service (surely an oxymoron) then email the boss James Murdoch (yes, Rupert Murdoch’s son) at

He won’t act or reply personally but you should get a better response than anything CS will do.
Don’t let Sky fob you off. Sky+ is great when it works but the whole Sky+ thing is full of flaws and bugs. I have had 7 boxes in three years and I still have problems.:mad:0 -
The best solution I can think of if your box is out of sync is to phone Sky and demand it is replaced, I have problems with my NTL box, it constantly crashes, when I ring them I get "oh they do that sometimes, just unplug it", Imagine if you bought a PC only to be told that.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
