Dog Sitting

Are you stopping at my house?!
3 giant breed, 1 elderly, slightly deaf, slightly accident prone, the younger 2 following your every move, and sitting on your lap at every available opportunity.
The dog breath, the covering you in fur, sending rugs flying with their games.
Ahhh bliss :-)2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Me again. My word, is it ALWAYS so relentless? Do they NEVER stop looking at me while I'm eating? Will they NEVER stop following me upstairs? Does the old dog ALWAYS have to walk backwards in front of me, gazing into my face?
Tonight we had to take ourselves off to Wetherspoons for a break!
I don't think I am a doggy person at heart. It's worse than having a child around.
Oh well, only until Sunday (when it's our 40th wedding anniversary

:rotfl::rotfl:Yup, dogs are totally different to cats, aren't they!:D
Mine is currently in the garden whining at a bone I've just given him - don't think he knows where to start as it's huge:D. Will have to give in short bursts during the day so he doesn't eat too much of it:eek:
I honestly couldn't face having "eyes" made at me when I'm eating
- that's down to training as I said before (very hard but worth the trouble):D
Congratulations on your 40th wedding anniversary - sounds as if getting home will be celebration in itself!:DGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Certainly will, although at the moment we are sharing our house with son, girlfriend and lodger, all of whom are happy to live in a tip, so I'll give them a warning to clean the house before we get there! The two cats who also live there are no problem at all, they just go in and out of their catflap and as long as there is food and water down they are fine.
The worst problem to me with the dogs is the constant 'monitoring' of my actions. I wish they would just ignore me sometimes!
And the old dog is just under your feet the entire time, it takes every amount of patience I have to not get cross with him.
Oh well, there's always Wetherspoons!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

We recently replaced our see-through metal barred gate with a wooden one, to stop Rough Collie barking furiously at every leaf, cloud, child, person with dog half a mile in the distance.... What he does now is try and fit his head under the gate, so as you approach, you see a long black snout sniffing furiously.
When you open the gate, he's fled to the other end to hide, and a very lickable excited Golden Lab has taken his place. It's fun to see the expression on someone's face when it's their first time at our house trying to work that one out.....
