Hoxton Hotel :- Any good?

I have read some of the thread about the Hoxton Hotel £1 special thing and it seems like its a fairly trendy hotel.
Im thinking about going in a couple weeks for weekend with my g/f (we both early 20's) and it seems like the sort of place we would like.
Question is the hotel is about £160 for 2 nights, is that still a fairly good price....despite it being a whole £159 more than some people got it

I have stayed at this hotel twice. Once when it opened and more recently for the new year. Not sure i would pay more than £59 . It is a excellent hotel but a better location would be nice. There are lots of bars but for the amount of money you are willing to spend, the money could be used on a better hotel.
I think they are going to release 500 £1 rooms on 14 Feb and £29 rooms as well so it might be worth waiting. Read this in the Guardian or Times this weekend.
I am going London with some mates in March and will be staying at this hotel but only because it is £29.0 -
Im going 2feb to the 4th

Any recommendations then for 2 young'ns?:D I dont want it to be a dump is its abit of a suprise treat and i did like the look of the rooms0 -
Hi, I have just stayed at the Hilton Hotel Islington, really nice hotel, modern, clean 4* 300mts from the Angel tube station. I paid £62 per night for a double room, through lastminute.com. You are very close to Islington high street etc, plenty of pubs etc close by or just a tube into wherever ? Nice hotel and good location.0

I walk past the Hoxton everyday on the way to work. It's log fire trendy front bar is always full of cameras filming interviews / celebs etc. If the rooms are as good as the downstairs ambiance, it's gonna be hip, trendy etc etc and probably very tired about 5 years from now!
Great area for 'alternative' London.0
