So i order a new TV from Play.com on the 22nd,and today thought i would check the delivery status and it says "Awaiting Stock"...and thats it.

Now looking on google alot of people have had this issue, and waited months and got nothing then cancelled their order,Of if they did wait Play cancelled it for them.

You guys think i should just cancel my order?

Was it advertised as "in stock"? If so I would give them a ring to see what the issue us. They shouldn't be saying in stock then ordering it in unless they've just run out. Only they could answer that. Plays a good little site sometimes, I've heard there's generally a problem of some sort with electronics though.

Hi,Yes it was advertised as "In stock" and it still is.

    http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/20464421/LG-32LV355T-32-inch-Full-HD-Freeview-HD-LED-TV/Product.html?searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=0&searchstring=LG+32LV355T&urlrefer=search

Exept now they have put up the price....was £319.99 on the 22nd.

The good thing is,They have not taken the payment yet,Should i cancel the order before they do take any payments then im waiting forever to get it back?
  • Got a reply from their support...
    Thank you for your email.

We are sorry that we have been unable to complete your order for LG 32LV355T Led TV.

Unfortunately this item was only available in limited quantities and all stock has now been sold. Please be aware that you are able to cancel unprocessed orders yourself by logging to 'my account' at the top of our website using your email address and password
What a load of crap,They did have them listed as "In stock" at the time i purchased it,and if i type in the TVs model number into the websites searchbar the Exact same tv is showing....its in stock, but they put up the price by about £45.
i think they do have these Tvs in stock, but are unwilling to sell me one at the lower price that i originaly ordered it for.

    can they do this?
  • Their terms cover this, a contract isn't formed until the goods have been dispatched, Play.com currently don't sell this item so it's possible they reduced the price to clear old stock and didn't have enough to fulfil your order.

Not particularly excellent service but understandable considering the number of products they sell.

its in stock, but they put up the price by about £45.

Are you sure that's Play.com and not a marketplace seller?

it doesnt say in stock by play.com.
its only in stock by a playtrade seller, so its not really plays fault is it.
    crap tv btw.

I think you've had a lucky escape as Play have terrible customer service in my experience. If the tv needed to go back for repair it would have been a nightmare to deal with.

Look on Hot deals uk for good tv deals. http://www.hotukdeals.com/all/deals/new

This one looks a good deal on Amazon and they have much better customer service than Play.

Always worth looking at Marks and Spencer and John Lewis as they have 5 year warranty included.
