Evening all,
I recently bought a Bush DVR3004 DVD Recorder:j , but i have spent the last 2 days pulling my hair out trying to set it up with my Sky plus.
I've followed the manufacturers instructions, aswell as other that I have found on the internet inc. http://www.dtg.org.uk/consumer/connection_wizard.html, but none seem to do the trick. Some allow me to watch DVD's but not record onto them from Sky, and some are the other way around.
I'm hoping some techie genius can tell me what goes where!
The gadgets have the following scart sockets...
TV: AV1 & AV2
SKY: TV Scart & VCR Scart
DVD: Scart In & Scart Out
VHS: AV1 (TV) & AV2 (Decoder)
Also, where do the RF aerial cables go? Both the DVD recorder and VHS have ports for the RF cables.
I'll be using the setup mainly for recording programmes off sky plus onto the dvd recorder, so i'll hardly be using the VHS.
Any help is much appreciated, as I'll probaly end up taking this back on Friday if I cant get it fixed as its really doing my head in!
Thanks

Try this diagram and see if it helps... Just imagine the DVB is your Sky+

And you know you cant copy sky box office from your Sky+ right???0 -
Hi scooter,
i never use sky box office anyway so thats not a problem.
i've copied and pasted that link into my URL but getting a runtime error...?0 -
I've just set my Sky+ to record onto the exact same DVD recorder. Do you have 2 scart outputs on your Sky+ box and 2 inputs on your TV?
I plugged my Sky+ box into TV and DVD recorder by Scart. Then I plugged my DVD recorder into another scart plug in my TV.
So, to record, you switch your DVD recorder/Sky+/TV on, and view through the DVD recorder. You can change the source of the input using the remote control so you then see the sky+, through the DVD recorder.
Put a blank DVD in the recorder, play your program on Sky+ and hit record. At the end, finalise your disk.
