Egg SBTs online Help

Please help !! I have tried to do a SBT on line with my Egg Card having a positive balance on my egg account from balance transfers from other ccs. I cannot find a way to do this . All the settings allow me to pay in from my bank account but not the reverse . Have they blocked this activity or am I missing something ? A step by step guide would be much appreciated .

Unfortunately I cannot do SBTs online. I can pay into my Egg account but cannot withdraw to my bank .I have spoke to those nice people at Egg and they tell me I cannot do transfers from my Egg account to my bank account online .They say they must do it . Is this correct ? Have they changed something as I read constantly about SBTs being actioned online . I would really appreciate if someone could detail step by step how to set up and do this as my 5month % period is due in 5 days .

You can do it online, as Unbelievable descibed. Probably you are getting confused with the concepts.

As far as Egg are concerned you move debt FROM your bank TO your Egg card. To achieve this they move money the opposite way.

So here it is in simple steps:

1) Sign on to Egg
2) On the left hand menu choose "Balance transfers"
3) Choose the "current account / overdraft" option
4) Type in your bank details and the amount you want to move.

That's it.

Are you saying just fill in the form on the egg site as if for a transfer of funds out from your bank, (onto Egg card) and the Egg system will transfer an in-credit bal (on the Egg card) the other way, i.e. into the current a/c??

I don't want to do this and end up with my credit balance doubling on the Egg card!
I want the credit from the card off into my current a/c...and like Ernie can't see a way to this online on the Egg site.

I've logged on and checked and my Egg account shows everything just as Reaper and Unbelievable say, left hand side under 'Move Money' there is a sub heading 'Balance Transfer'

You are not transferring funds, you are transfering a "balance" (i.e. debt) from your bank to your Egg card, even if you don't really have one.

Do it exactly as descibed. I assure you it works.

Judging by the name "black horse finance" she was trying to pay off a loan. If so that is an ordinary BT. If you do an SBT instead (ie move the money to your bank account from Egg) then you can pay off the loan from there.

Just to reassure ernie and Newbird, I completed a SBT last week, as described by Reaper, and it went through OK. Now just waiting to see what my next card will be!!
