problems with Eon Solar panel £99 deal
I have just tried to get solar panels for my house through the £99 deal with Eon. But have been told over the phone my roof is to small to fit enough panels. Has anyone had the same experience?
What should my next option be. Would it be worth while trying other companies? Buying panels out right. If i get a loan to buy solar panels. Would it save me more money having panels than the loan would cost me.

I've just been reading Eon's deal. Is it good? Is it worth being tied in for 25 years to?
You don't get money for electric paid back into the grid, this is the pay off for the cheap fitting. So is it worth it for the saving whilst using elec..0 -

I'd do the maths very carefully before taking out a loan to pay for the system - I'd probably not recommend it on a financial basis unless you get a good deal.
Most companies doing the 'free' deals have tight rules - no shading, due south and capable of taking 4kW are pretty common - to maximise their returns (not always - some do smaller roofs), but I'd be really cautious about signing up for a 'free' scheme - I just don't trust them.0
