Euro car park - free parking 4hours

On the 18/08/2011 i went feltham leisure centre and parked my vehicle in parking bay it tright space.

came back from the cinema, there was nothing no my windsreen.

Next day at home in the morning i noticed an parking tricket on my windscreen, i was infuraited.

The parking tricket was for parking on the line, of parking bay.

I appealled ie i dare they issue parking tricket day after event, and giving me no chance to take photos. I was admaent that i parked correctly.

I asked for evidence, they provided photos of vehicle with tricket on at car park, with back wheel parked on the line of parking bay.

They rejected my appeal of issuing tricket at my private address, and i have no grounds to appeal again. They asked for full payment of 50 pounds within 14 days.

They made me admitt to being driver, by making me appeal on the grounds that they do not issue trickets at private address after incident.

please advice, because i have accussed them of extortion and they may take me to court.

From now on just ignore them and do not contact them. You don't owe them a penny. They can only claim for the actual loss suffered by the land-owner. In your case this amounts to zero pounds and zero pence.. Euro have admitted that they never take anyone to court. As for you accusing them of extortion, if that's your honest opinion then all well and good. Don't worry about them they are not worth it.

They won't take you to Court. Should have ignored them.

Read the sticky threads at the top of the forum and just ignore each threatogram (I think ECP use Debt Recovery Plus now, so look at another PPC letter-chain in the top thread which features DRP).

This is nothing and you need never have taken the bait - do you reply to phishing emailers as well?

The only mistake you have made was not visiting this site earlier:

You have not been given a parking ticket or a fine:
From a legal prospective what you have been given is an "invitation to pay a private invoice".
You are legally within your rights to reject the invitation and keep your money:
What will happen is they will buy your private data from DVLA and send a series of menacing letters threatening to take you to court and then more letters from fake debt collectors and fake solicitors again all threatening to take you to court.
They will not take you to court as legally they have no power to fine you or charge you a penalty.
In short it is a scam of impersonation of officialdom and empty threats.
HOW TO DEAL:
IGNORE everything, ignore all letters, ignore all fake solicitors letters and ignore all fake debt collectors.
They will get fed up and move on to another victim.
IGNORE Means exactly that IGNORE, you do not appeal, there is no appeal it is part of the scam, you do not bite back, do not write or do anything to correspond and they will go away, if they call your telephone, do not confirm any information place the handset down and leave it of the hook for ten minutes .
BE WARNED evidence on these and other forums clearly describes how people who do pay these hoping they go away receive further demands for more money, often several hundreds of pounds.



Just to add, these parking scams rely on giving you something to pull at, they know some people just can not resist trying to be proved right and if you step back calm down you will see that what you are actually standing in is a very cleverly thought out trap designed to get you to take the obvious bait on the floor, they have had thousands of attempts and perfecting the trap and perfecting the bait, so you think you have spotted a flaw, a loop hole, something wrong in the singe when in fact what you have seen is what they have left out for you to see and by the time you realise you have been hooked you are well in to a dialogue with them.
Knowing that they have a live fish on the hook is 99% of the scam, but if you ignore them they dont know who you are from adam yes they have the keepers details but the driver is responsible and you do not have to correspond and give them any information, for all they know fred blogs details supplied by DVLA could be the local crown court Judge, senior police officer or local bone crunching no neck thug waiting to dish out some instant justice.
If you pull them up over signs, you are admitting reading them and making contract !
So stop zoom out and have a look at what this line you have found to pull is connected to.... A very large hook that will end up in your backside if you pull on it.

Thank you for your advice, but i have alreay admitted i am driver in my appeal and said that no such contravention took place.

That no tricket was placed no my windscreen, however their photos show tricket place on windsreen and right wheel on white line of parking bay.

Do they now have an case, to purse me to court. Or will i get into more trouble if i ignore.
Please help should i still ignore.

Some points:

• the charge is unenforceable.
• there is no such thing as an 'appeal'
• there is no 'contravention' - they only apply to legitimate council fines
• you can shout that you were the driver from the rooftops - it doesn't entitle them to the money
• Euro Car Parks have never ever taken anyone to court
• there has never ever been a county court case from any private parking company from somebody being parked over a line

Really, YOU should be putting in a claim against the leisure centre (if they are the landowner) for harassment

Reread the 2nd chunk of vax2002's post (#5). You're tugging on that thread, whereas you really need to let it lie and just ignore them. Their victims' use of self-righteous indignation is just one of their tools to get their way.

You will get some more threatening letters before it quietens down, Euro won't take you to court, the landowner's damages are zero (parking on a white line, I would love to see that go to court for the judge to ask them how they worked out the damages for parking on a white line).
