hi

Looking to buy some RAM for a very old Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile v5535 and looked on crucial and it came up with:

http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=1235F3A7A5CA7304

Which says:

  • Module Size: 2GB kit (1GBx2)
  • Package: 200-pin SODIMM
  • Feature: DDR2 PC2-5300
  • Specs: DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 128Meg x 64 •

Does anybody know what are the relevant parts that i need to match as looking on a certain auction site they are very cheap!

Thanks in advance

the crucial ram will be the exact spec you require so you need to find stuff that matched the info you have posted - crucial is usually fairly cheap and has the bonus that they guarantee it is compatible (unless it's a massive difference in price!)

Yeah, I am now thinking for the sake of saving £10-15 I am better off sticking with crucial or another similar company!

there are a lot of good sellers on ebay, don't get me wrong - there are also other memory websites similar to crucial where you might get a better price (eg mr memory) the cashback sites usually give you some for these sites too!

  • Crucial does Quidco if I recall....the benefit is that Crucial memory will almost certainly 'just work' whereas other ram, especially non branded may or may not be compatible....personally I'll always buy Crucial/Micron but sometimes I'll get it via Ebay if it's a lot cheaper than Crucial direct.
