orange 3g dongle - can sim card go in my i pad 2?

hi there i have an orange 3 dongle with a sim card, which has 3gb of data a month.

could i cut this sim card to a micro sim to work in my ipad2 or would i need to buy a sim that is for an ipad? , many thanks

More important is will the contract allow you to do that?

I do remember reading people getting large bills when they bought unlocked iphones and used other network sims in them.

Either running up large data charges or the network saying the contract they have is not suitable for the iphone.

Check 1st.

Yes it can ,I have done it with my 3 dongle sim card
You just need to cut it down to the correct size , i bought a cutter of ebay for £3 does the job great . or if you have a Iphone sim just put it on your dongle sim and cut it that way

hi there its a 3g dongle from orange with a 3gb of data a month, i have cut the sim card down to mico size got it in my ipad it it shows 2g signal , (will not be used at this location).

when i launch anything it says could not activate mobile data network not sure why when i have a signal , i have mobile data on , and the APN settings are correct according to the orange website ( APN: orangedata
Username (Blank) Password: (Blank)

as my dongle is on contract will i have a username and password i need to fill in on the APN settings?
