Npower-how much compensation should I ask for?

Hi, last November I tried to swap from eon to npower, through quidco for both gas and electricity. Electricity move went fine but gas has been a nightmare. They have finally sorted this out and I have moved. However this has taken 11 months to sort with them! And I've been paying eon's standard rate in the meantime for the gas and also didn't get the quidco cashback (£100) anyway I am now on my 4th complaints advisor and we are about to discuss compensation. How much do you think I should ask for? I've used approx 450 units in the last 11 months but it's the phone calls, sheer incompetance ,frustration and time that has wound me up the most! Any advice much appreciated

Thanks

I definitely want my mobile phone call costs to be reimbursed and the extra I've paid in bills but after that I'm not sure? I just want them to learn that poor customer service isn't on but I doubt that will happen :(

Why did the transfer not go through, objection by eon?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Just in case you're going to end up underestimating what they've cost you, are you certain you've only used 450kWh in the last 11 months? That would be VERY low usage. Well done if you do only use that much though!

The OP didn't say 450kWh - he said 450 units!

As it is gas, that could be approx 5,000kWh with a metric meter or indeed around 14,000kWh with an Imperial meter.

Sorry that's 450 off the meter so not sure if that's kw or units? I live in an A rated house and am a bit tight, I pay approx £15 a month for gas at the mo. :p
It didn't go through as the meter wasn't registered quite right due to another development near by having similar details. I always gave the right details, they kept never updating and kept taking the wrong property much to both mine and the lady at the other properties annoyance! They've accepted what's happened isn't on and that they'll compensate but we're only now at the point when I'll talk figures as I wanted to make sure everything was fully sorted before I accepted anything.
