could you please put me down for £300 again this month starting tommorow 1st oct

totally lost track in sept dont think i did too badly on the actual grocery spends for a change but the budget took a serious hammering due to bump deciding to finally put in an appearance :D totally perfect but tiny so nothing fitted lol on the plus side shouldnt need to buy any clothes/nappies for a while so sticking with the usual budget this month.

will try and keep up as much as possible though rarely seem to get 2 mins spare at the mo so havent had time to read all the posts or catch up with septs challenge esp as its moves so fast.

puzzledbubble belated congrats on your new arrival

thanks to everyone who keep this thread going and to helen for continuing to update the budgets :A

Hi, can I please be put down for £130 for this month? Although I came in way under budget last month I need to stock up on a few things, and I may get a few bits for Christmas out of this month's budget.

  • Hi,

I haven't ever tried this before however I have seriously fallen off the OS wagon and need to try and get everything back in order - so I figured this was a good place to start ;)

We are a family of 6 - The October holiday means that little people will be off to visit Papa for a week and eating us out of house and home for the other so I am guessing that £400 should cover us for the month (working from now until 31st Oct) I will include food/nappies/toiletries and cleaning bits (I am perhaps cheating a bit as I can see how full my freezers are..) but I need the motivation to use what is there :o

Good luck to everyone taking part and thanks to those running the thread.
  • We did the first shop of the month yesterday, usually do it on a Saturday but we were near the supermarket after visiting some family and thought we'd just get on with it. £85 and we didn't even get everything we need as I hadn't got my list with me - we were shocked

I went through the receipt twice just in case there was a mistake but no it was right. The prices are just shooting up. I'm going to have to keep a careful eye on things this month. I was hoping to have a little left over for Christmas stockpiling (not that we need lots, I just like to have the traditional food that reminds me of Christmas at home).
