BG moves cancellation date(s)???.
Hello. Whilst sorting thro` tariffs using Energyhelpline, i checked my
current tariff T&Cs., finding the 6% discount and early cancellation fee dates had altered from Oct.1 to Nov.1. I checked the BG
site and found nothing changed, so I emailed EHL pointing out this
anomaly, referring them to BG T&Cs. To my surprise EHL replied
stating they had spoken to BG and the `extension` of these dates
is correct and that i should contact BG to discuss the matter!!
I have no intention of contacting BG prior to Oct 1, and then only
to switch suppliers.
This `extension` may, of course be a simple error, but it has crossed my mind that if this is an `accross the board` move by BG, perhaps
less aware folk might find themselves being charged `early` cancellation
fees because of this. Pls. see EHL site/ BG site, and check your
T&Cs. My current tariff- BG websaver 8 dual fuel.

The tariff has been extended as it is cheaper than current offerings but the cancellation fees do not apply during the extra month0

Hello. Yes BG emailed today with same explanation. The EHL site was either misinformed, or misunderstood BG`s update.
As the customer, i should have been informed first, or at the least BG should update their T&C`s pages inline and prior to
general release. Anyhow, all sorted now. Thanks.0
