Apologies for piggy backing on this - I am a newbie but haven`t sussed how to start new threads yet.
I have a secured loan and current balance o/s is £19910 it has now been passed from Welcome Finance to The Lewis Group debt recovery Ive done all the usual stuff like SARs etc and even tho it has a mis stated APR and Ive got a case with the Ombudsman its now got to the stage where I have been sent a `Final Demand` by the Lewis Group. I have read lots about Full & Final Settlement offers - I can rake together a maximum of £7000 by borrowing off relatives and am contemplating offering this. My big worry is they may just reject and push for enforcement or charging order meaning I have to sell the house and repay them the full amount. I have made every payment to my mortgage lenders tho I haven`t made a payment to Welcome since January 2010 because of the long running dispute. Ive raised telephone harassment letters and all communication has been in writing. Has anyone got any constructive advice on what I can do please??0
