Barclays Cash Card/Co-op Cash Minder

I've been reading about these basic bank accounts here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/basic-bank-accounts

Both offer a debit card.
But does anyone know if there are any restictions on how you
can use the card?
Can it be used for any online purchases, and depositing
at online bookmakers, as long as you are in credit on the account?

I've had a Barclays Cash Card account for years and have a Visa debit card. I have had no issues paying for anything online (and I shop a lot online lol).

As for the bookmakers... I'm pretty sure I used that card to put an online bet on the Grand National this year.

I've got both. They can be used for anything, but I find that the Barclays package is better overall. Co-ops online banking is woeful.

When i have had problems i've had more with Co-op's card than Barclays, but then it evens out as you can usually get through a Co-op customer service rep within 3-5mins.

One final question about these two accounts:

Do either or both require a monthly sum
(such as a salary) to be going in?
