Car insurance premium increase - is it worth complaining?

    The situation is now resolved.

    I went ahead and filled a complaint to The Insurer.

    First they offered me to cancel the policy with a refund based on how many days of policy I used (i.e. fair amount). I declined this offer and finally they agreed to refund me what was additionally paid and allow me to carry on with the original premium. They did not agree though that the additional premium was taken unfairly as I insisted in the complaint. They are making the refund "as a gesture of goodwill".

    I haven't received this refund yet because they are making it back through The Broker, but I consider this is a success story as I'm going to get my 570 quid back. ;)

    But as a GoGW you will have similar issues when your policy renews as they will still see you as holding your current licence for less than 1 year.

    What is GoGW?
    Hopefully next year I'm going to have 1 year NCD, so it should be cheaper than now.
