I suggest you point out to them that you are receiving Carers Allowance so you are entitled to Income Support on these grounds.

one point is until they send you for the medical that gives you points they cant put you in any group, this is decided on how many points you get at the medical
As roger pointed out, you dont always have to attend a medical.
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that
[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)
  • Well,I,m long term unemployed.
I have an eyesight issue, right eye.

I have recently been diagnosed with Aspergus.
Fact is,this "no one voted for us" government want to harrass as many people as possible off benefits.

Remembering,Cameron said they would look after those that deserved it and chase "the Scroungers".

Well, they have,nt chased any of the scroungers out of the City.
And We,re all in it together,so those at the lower end of society will have to pay the price for the mistakes made by successive governments over the last 30 years.

    Bottom line...

Over 60% of those deemed fit for work have their benefits restored after appealling results of the so called "medicals".

I,m in a similar situation but I guess I,m luckier coz there is an act of parliament protecting me from these nasty pieces of legislation.

    RALPH.
