My son is switching to Lloyds and has moved all his money over to lloyds apart from £25 which was left over to pay his phone contract. Except his network took £25.69(Morning of Saturday or Late Friday night) and he went 69p overdrawn. He then credited the account with 69p later that day. Around 11am. Is he likely to incur any charges for going overdrawn?

Comments

  • If he was overdrawn overnight then he could possibly incur charges. However, since he is under 18 he just needs to phone Santander and they will refund all charges.
  • Its under £10 will be fine.
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

  • I've replied to your PM, but essentially 16-18 accounts with Santander don't receive any charges as they don't offer any OD facilities. But as advised in my PM, keep an eye on his statement to be doubly sure. :) Hope that helps.

If he does get charged (but shouldn't) you could claim that such charges are disproportionate to the amount owed and you'll get them back anyway.
