Online Bulk Emailer

Is there an online service out there where my cricket club can set up everyone's emails, and then people with access to that can send out group emails to them all.
In the past we have tried YahooGroups - but that has ended up being not very flexible. Currently I'm using a bespoke package that a friend created, but you have to have it installed on your computer and it uses a *.csv to send out the emails - again not very flexible.
So basically a service with an online database that can be used by select people to send out emails to our cricket club.
I'm sure it's out there - but I can't seem to find it! haha!
Thanks in advance
Toby

Just use hotmail. I.e just copy all emails into the TO: field.
Then subject then copy the main body of the email.0 -
Unfortunately I send communications out to 600+ email addresses at our cricket club - so this is a no go.

One of the problems is that the sending address gets identified as a spammer and subsequently blacklisted.
Presumably you would bcc all the members so that they don't all get each other's addresses. I've just been looking into doing such operations through my web hosting service. They have a policy where they just bin any outgoing messages from your account which exceed a set limit - 300 per hour in their case.
I have set up a utility to trickle them out at something below the limit. If you have a website and developer for your club maybe you could enquire there?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I have noticed a few people don't get emails through the bulk software, but do get them from me directly. But also some servers have blacklisted the domain name.
I will see anyone's into that.
Last resort is to use Play-Cricket's in built emailer - however it's not very flexible. All players get an email with this as the Salutation...
Dear "First Name" "Last Name"
I have mentioned this to Play-Cricket, but they gave me some lame excuse. Plus attachments can't be sent that way.
Thanks for the help though2021

If you're after something easy to operate and actually suitable, look at Mail Chimp. Has some sensible free options and won't get spam filtered.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

Going back a while we experimented with some free bulk mailers and found without exception that they were all spam-filtered to a greater or lesser extent because they used anonymous SMTP servers - not ideal. There may well be others available now that are a little more user friendly but the free ones were a waste of time. We ended up purchasing software and use it several times a week to get press-oriented content out to sometimes substantial address groups. As a business user we don't get caught by the normal domestic user post limits but the biggest list we'd send at one time would probably be around the 500 mark. If you have a business user on the committee perhaps they might be prepared to help out?My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
