Driver Updater

Hi All

Hoep someone can help.

I am looking for a free driver updater, just downloaded one that said i needed numerous updates but then asked me for $30!

I am getting an error saying i need driver for:

wdc wd1200bevs-07lat0 ata device


Also my wifi keeps dropping.

Windows has a free driver updater - it's one of the parts of Windows Update!
What is telling you you need to update your hard disk's driver? Sounds quite dubious to me, since this is almost never required.

"My wi-fi keeps dropping" could be for a whole host of reasons - you'd need to say a whole lot more about your setup (router, laptop, where located, etc etc) before anyone could help.

wdc wd1200bevs-07lat0 ata device - Is a hard drive of some description (internal or external?)

What is your system?
It could be if you've got a Western Digital external drive you need to download and reinstall the software for it (assuming it used some software for making backups or similar easier).
Otherwise it may be you need to update the motherboard IDE driver is it's an internal drive.

As John says wi-fi dropping can be any number of things from poor signal, to someone's video sender, to the wireless adaptor overheating.

Sorry it is not asking for an update to the driver, when i boot it says New Hardware Found and says it needs to install the driver
