I am shopping around for a friend and wondered if she would be entitled to tax credit.

She has 2 young children, has childcare costs of £45 per week. and salary is the following

£1200 per month for her
and £1560 average for her husband.

I have done entitledto. website which is saying roughly around £40 per week CTC but im not sure if this is correct.

any ideas x

You don't say if that is gross or net pay

If net then this equates to over £41k joint income
If gross then this is £33k

Not sure how you get £40pw with those figures, even if gross it'd only be about £20pw. If net it'd be a tiny amount. Entitledto is usually accurate - suspect you've put something in wrong somewhere, or was last year's income lower?
