To give tyou an idea I just paid of £280 for my MOT on a Fiat Punto 2001 model. This was:
1) Rear shock absorber
2) Handbreak
3) Something to do with the rear breaking on the car
And that was it! Hope you have luck with yours0 -
Arb links - parts are cheap if you don't buy from pug, usually in the region of 15 to 25 quid. Easy tobinstall I would guess 80 to 100 for both sides
Suspension joint sounds like a ball joint, 15 quid part and again not long to do, maybe 50 to 60
Wishbone, sometimes the individual joints can be pressed out and replaced but most garages will want to just replace the unit. Sometimes these are cheap (I.e 50 quid or so) and for other cars they can be in the region of a few hundred for a new one, worth checking.
Don't know about the braking issue could be a case of some cleaning up and a bit of persuasion0 -
£20 per hour would be very cheap for a mechanic.
If that labour rate is true then the bill shouldn't be huge, as most of any garage bill is usually labour anyway.
About £250 - £300 at a normal garage is my guess, give or take.0 -
£20 an hour, please tell us where. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

arb links (dropplinks) are about £6 each off the bay..
2x wishbones will cover the wishbones and suspension joint (if its a ball joint ) circa £50 for the pair on ebay
load sensing valve would need freeing (just labour)
£200 i would say..Sealed pot challenger # 10
1v100 £15/3000 -
A family friend who gets a bit of help with his accounts from me every now and again. Been reading about and I'm actually realising how lucky I am to get that sort of rate.£20 an hour, please tell us where.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0 -
£380, tbh you have the car on the lift and all of the suspension in bits apart from the shocks you might as well get them changed seeing as all suspension componates have failed apart from the shocks its just 1 nut 2 bolts and a good twatting with a hammer from coming outsuited-aces wrote: »And my local garage is closed til Monday.
