I'm not keen on scented clothes so I don't use any fabric conditioner at all. I'm especially not keen on being able to smell it on other people when they walk past, that's just over-kill and a tiny bit ant-social imo.

Anti-social? Crikey. Are the anti-smokers going to be targeting Lenor users next?

Personally, i think its really nice to go past someone in the street and get a whiff of fabric conditioner on their clothes, it just smells clean and something comforting about it, i always use loads of fabric conditionter and always try the new ones out though i always go back to lenor as its strong. I do try and bulk up on it when its on offer though just wish it was more lol.

Wow. never thought anyone would have such a strong opinion on fabric softener! Personally, I love it when someone walks by and I get a waft of fresh, clean clothes. I' m always quite jealous and wonder what they are using to make it last so long and smell so great. I know it's an each to their own thing, but branding them anti-social seems totally crazy to me! There are hundreds of horrid smelling, bad-breathed, farty, grimy people walking the streets, when I get a waft of lovely smelling niceness, I' always thankfull! Just shows you how diverse peoples choices are!

What do you smell of, bitterandtwisted? ;)
  • I adore fabric softener and tend to go for whatever is on offer ... Lenor at the moment, coz I've had coupons!!!!!!

I used to adore Sainsburys Meadow Fresh (green), but they discontinued it. And, my other favorite was Comfort Twilight Sensations - the pink one - but they've discontinued that, too!! Pink Comfort is just nasty these days. (I remember the Comfort Silk ... oooooh, that was LOVELY!)

I'm not saying what I'm using at the moment ... just in case they withdraw that, too!!!!!!
    I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum
Cos how can you be gloomy, when the sun shines out your bum? :D

ive seen the pink twilight sensations in my local pound shop just a week ago, i do like the smell of that one too. I am a complete fabric softneraholic-( i always use blue bold unless a new bod comes out and i have to try that!:rotfl: but i find blue bold the strongest!) Then i always use loads of fabric softner they say 42 washes but i don't get anywhere new that amount out of mine. _pale_

i know not very MSE at all  but its a vice of mine, and i love the smell of clean clothes and lots of people always ask what i wash my clothes in as they smell nice, and my kids always go to school smelling of clean clothes ( think this is where i get my addiction from, when i was young going to school stinking of stale smoke!)

Anyway rant over before you think i have some fabric conditioner fetish :p

  • ive just started using smartprice fabric conditioner at half the recommeded dose and a tablespoon of soda crystals. Lovely soft clothes that smell nice, plus the added bonus of stains coming off better and being able to use half the washing powder/liquid etc.

  • I always use Lenor.

There have been new fragrances released recently and the citrus and spice one is lovely.

Prior to it, I always used the orange blossom.

I think it is advisable to be rather sparing with fabric conditioner because it does have a tendency to deposit a build-up of gunky residue in the machine.

Using white vinegar in place of softener occasionally will disperse the build-up and clean out your drawers. :D
