Pension Credit and Disability Living Allowance

Myself and my husband live on pension guarantee credit (my husband claims for both of us - I cannot claim because I am too young - hubby is 64 and I am 57) - we both had to retire early due to ill-health. If I apply for Disability Living Allowance will we lose any amount I get off our housing benefit or pension guarantee credit?

Thank You.

no you wouldnt. DLA is not counted as income in regards to any means tested benefit.
if you are awarded DLA and are receiving housing benefit, there is an additional premium that goes along with it

As your husband also has health problems, does he claim anything for his needs?

My parents found the advisor from the Pension Service very helpful. He came to the house, talked through their situation, looked at their paperwork and filled in all the forms to claim what they were entitled to.

If the pensioner premium is in payment then SDP doesnt get paid as the PP is higher.

Nothing will be taken away though.

Wrong the SDP can be paid over and above all other premiums, although in this case it would not be due regardless.

Got EDP and SDP mixed up.

The EDP cant be paid with PP. Not that that is relevant to the OP.
